Since the beginning of 1995, the world has been our workplace. Together with our customers and partners, we reach even remote corners of the globe, bringing help to those in need. Every day, we strive to make a difference - and with the holiday season upon us, it’s time once again to give back. Christmas is a celebration for children, and we’re proud to continue our tradition of the Donation Advent Calendar in 2024. This year, we’ll make four donations to worthy causes focused on improving the lives of children around the world.

For decades, we’ve worked with charitable organizations across the globe. As a leader in this field, we hold a unique position - and an enormous responsibility. Many of the organizations we partner with focus on the well-being of children. We’re honored to play a small part in making life a bit brighter for those facing challenges, especially during the Christmas season when the spirit of togetherness is strongest.
This year, we’ve chosen four organizations - two based in Denmark and two international—each fighting for children in their own way. Each week leading up to Christmas, we’ll announce a donation to one of these organizations.

 

Recipients of our donations in 2024

Week 48:

This year’s donation calendar starts out with a donation to a younger Danish organization. We have chosen to support Sport ‘n’ Charity who does a great job in helping children with cancer back to living a normal life.

Their story goes back to 2022 when founders, Frederik Weisz and Martin Albeck-Stender came across a study showing how children with cancer can benefit from sports and exercising in order to minimize the risks of further disease, handicaps and late sequalae. They immediately went to work and today the organization is approved and operating. And with only two years active they already have some impressive results.

Week 49:

The second donation in this year’s calendar goes to an organization which, in every way, is highly current, since their focus is on children’s mental health. We have chosen to donate to Change 2 Change, who concisely says so about themselves: ” We teach children to smile and believe in themselves”.

This organization is obviously also highly current because it is based in Ukraine, and their work is naturally focused on their own country. Their support goes to children who have grown up without their parents and to Ukrainians who have gotten their homes destroyed in the war. Based in Kyiv, Change 2 Change unfolds its very unique work. Psychology is central in their program, and it is a part of everything they do, when Change 2 Change and their psychologists help children overcome mental struggles – to heal and get stronger for the future.

Week 50:

On the third week of this year’s donation calendar, we are back on Danish grounds with an organization widely known here for their long-running work for our children. We are donating to Børns Vilkår. Since 1977 this organization has fought to stop the neglect of children – and to secure every child’s right to a safe childhood.  They do by this vision: “We believe in children. They are the most important thing we have, and they are our common responsibility. Join us – stop neglect!”.

Central in their work is BørneTelefonen (Child Helpline). An institution in Denmark which every year has thousands of conversations with children about the most difficult things in life. Things they cannot share with others. The Child Helpline and Børns Vilkår have helped uncountably many children fighting through insecurity and neglect – and they have saved lives.

Week 51:

On this last week of Danoffice IT’s donation calendar 2024 we are donating to an organization fighting for the children of the World: For more than 25 years, Right To Play has made a profound difference for children living in the most difficult and dangerous areas of the World.

Here, the organization helps children getting their education, and how to avoid diseases and to resist exploitation and abuse. They also help children heal from the horrors of war and abuse. It was a journey to Eritrea in 1994 which led Norwegian speed skater, Johan Olav Koss, to found Right To Play, and here 25 years after the organization has reached millions of children in more than 14 countries.

The do so with this vision: “To protect, educate, and empower children to rise above adversity using the power of play”. We are proud to be able to support this important organization.

Through our Donation Advent Calendar, you can help us turn the spotlight on initiatives that truly make an impact. Each week, alongside our donation, we’ll highlight an organization and share its mission and accomplishments. We hope you’ll help spread this positive message within your workplace, network, and family.

The four organizations we’ve chosen this year all have powerful, inspiring stories to share - stories about people making an invaluable difference for others. And what better time to share and amplify these stories than during the holiday season?

We recognize that not everyone celebrates Christmas, but we wish to tap into the universal sense of togetherness the season brings - as a platform for creating positive change - no matter your beliefs or background.
