Danoffice IT has entered into an agreement to acquire Conecto A/S ("Conecto"), a leading Danish IT service and consulting firm. Terms of the acquisition will not be disclosed, and the transaction is subject to approval from the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority.
Established in 1997 and headquartered in Søborg, Denmark, Conecto delivers critical IT solutions to large and small corporates as well as global public sector organisations and institutions. The firm is one of five platinum providers in Denmark for Citrix product sales and services.
Danoffice IT will take over Conecto's existing product portfolio, customer relations and 60 employees located in Denmark. The deal will accelerate Danoffice IT's growth strategy: it will help to complement Danoffice IT's current operations and strengthen its corporate and public segments. The company will benefit from Conecto's highly complementary geographical footprint in Denmark and its significant capability in cybersecurity.
"We see an excellent strategic fit combining Danoffice IT and Conecto," says Lars Baun Jensen, CEO of Danoffice IT. "Conecto has a strong product and service offering and a group of highly valued and skilled employees, which we see as great additions to our current business. This acquisition will also grow our customer base within the corporate and public segment and be a significant contribution to our value proposition. This will ultimately benefit all our customers."
Reinforcing offerings and capabilities
Since the pan-European private equity firm Agilitas Private Equity LLP ("Agilitas") backed the buyout of Danoffice IT in 2017, the company has followed a focused growth strategy to strengthen and expand its Danish and international market positions. Conecto will be the fourth strategic acquisition of Danoffice IT after Datacon, Npvision and most recently Edgemo, a leading national IT infrastructure product provider.
"The acquisition is part of the strategic transformation plan for Danoffice IT," says Kevin Iermiin, Partner at Agilitas and member of the board. "We are delighted by the growth of the Danoffice IT business, and this new add-on will bring the company to the next level by strategically complementing its offerings and capabilities."
The same DNA
"Becoming part of Danoffice IT will lift the potential for Conecto," says Tobias Nawrocki, CEO of Conecto. "Joining forces will increase the strategic possibilities and benefit our customers, giving them access to a supplier with an even broader range of expertise and capabilities. The Conecto family will benefit from joining an organisation with the same DNA and tremendous development opportunities. We really look forward to this new adventure together."
"There are great underlying synergies between Conecto and Danoffice IT and together they will be able to create even stronger opportunities for customers in the market, both in Denmark and abroad", says David Hald, co-founder and chairman of the board in Conecto. "Danoffice IT is the ideal backer to further accelerate the strategic journey of Conecto. I am very excited by this new partnership for our company, employees and customers."
The acquisition is expected to be completed once all the preconditions for the transaction are satisfied.
