At Danoffice IT, we do our best. Since we started in 1995, we have worked hard to stay among the best of the best. In order to achieve that, we have the best people in the business. This is once again being solidified in that HPE is awarding one of the most prestigious titles in the industry to our colleague, Michael Schultz. Now that he has the title HPE Worldwide Ambassador, he is a member of an exclusive global club and he is bringing Danoffice IT and our customers along for the ride!
On January 13, 2024 at 5:30 pm, Michael Schultz, Sales Specialist, Hybrid Platforms at Danoffice IT, received the message. This is an outright demonstration of how it pays off to work hard to make a difference. Michael’s journey through the IT industry began 24 years ago and it has been a journey through both IT and HPE.
“I started with HPE in 2001 which means that for 24 years, HPE has been a core aspect of my journey in the IT industry. Therefore, it is quite meaningful for me to receive this recognition,” Michael Shultz says and expounds on this further: “This most recent year has been particularly special for me. Just one year ago, I received the award for HPE Ambassador of the Year at the 2023 Hector Awards and to be standing here just one year after that with the distinction of Worldwide Ambassador is quite extraordinary.”
Being seen
Being able to further one’s skills and make a mark for oneself through HPE, he ability to act proactively as a trusted advisor, and being loyal to HPE of course, are all combined the determining parameters which allowed him to win the nomination at last year’s Hector Awards and are also what have earned him this new global title. However, what does all this mean during a busy weekday? “It is very important,” he confirms. “It means that others have noticed what you have done. It is a recognition confirming that you are actually making a difference,” he says. However, the true winners are Danoffice IT and our customers in this situation. Michael says:
”The fact that we have three global ambassadors at Danoffice IT today solidifies that we have a vast amount of knowledge. We both have the knowledge and strong ties to HPE. Rather than knowing a little about a lot, we have a high level of specialization in carefully selected areas of focus. That is truly something that benefits our customers.”
Access to knowledge results in security
Only five of HPE’s global ambassadors are based in Denmark; and at Danoffice IT, we have two of these in-house. In addition to Michael Schultz, Niels Vejrup Pedersen, Technology Lead at Danoffice IT also has the title of Worldwide Ambassador. Furthermore, Tejs Evers was awarded the title of Aruba Ambassador in November. “There is certainly a level of prestige and personal recognition to this, but the core issue is that it provides our customers with a sense of security,” Michael Schultz explains.
“Our customers know that we have their back through the strongest global network in the industry with access to specialized knowledge. With my access to the Worldwide Ambassador network, I can now help our global customers at a completely different level than before. We are able to see further into the future with our new insight into roadmaps and launches. This means that we are able to point our customers in the right direction to avoid pitfalls. That is very valuable for many reasons, but one of those is that my customers have been with me for many years and this recognition strengthens my credibility as an advisor.”
Dialogue creates development
Michael’s calendar will be filled with more global appointments going forward because HPE’s global ambassador corps is more than just titles. This is an active network and the demands are high on both sides. “Now that I am an ambassador, I can get feedback from HPE at a completely different level. I have access to a direct dialogue with those who own HPE’s products and solutions,” he says and adds: “However, HPE also has access to me. Because we have an in-depth knowledge of HPE’s solutions and technologies, the ambassadors have the opportunity to affects HPE’s development.
That is truly a positive thing. HPE strategically uses their ambassadors and that creates some really interesting and dynamic dialogues through which we impact the development going forward and I am truly looking forward to that.” There can be no doubt that this title is a personal win for Michael. “I will gain far more from my HPE commitment now. Work-wise there are clear benefits, but I will also be gaining on a personal level because I can provide far superior counseling now.”
Important for the company
At Danoffice IT, we are not satisfied by being a part of the developments in the industry. We want to be able to influence it. We want to be a powerhouse that makes a difference. “We want to be able to offer the most important skills which enable us to provide the best possible guidance for our customers. We want to be among the best,” Michael says. “However, in order to be that we need to have the skills. The fact that Danoffice IT has three of Denmark’s HPE ambassadors is proof that we are at the very top. We have truly created a powerful team which is important to our company and we are very proud of that,” Michael Schultz, Sales Specialist, Hybrid Platforms at Danoffice IT – and HPE Worldwide Ambassador, concludes.
